In Memory of Dr. James Farr 1918-2000

Dr. James N. Farr founded Farr Associates, Inc. in 1956, and was a pioneer in the application of psychological principles to Leadership Development. It was then that he started teaching several generations of executives and managers that, in order to lead others, they must first understand and be able to lead themselves.

He pioneered the application of Conscious Leadership to leadership development and showed the business world that true leadership is much more than telling employees what to do. "It's not enough to train a human body—you have to lead people in complex interrelated team functions and consider motivation, communication, and perception."
