High Performance Thinking (HPT) 3 day workshop - Graduates only
High Performance Thinking helps you make quality decisions which solve important business problems!
FARR’s done it again with another breakthrough
experience that cuts through the mundane and impacts leaders with techniques, insights, and results that improves performance!
The High Performance Thinking workshop builds on prior Farr workshop models and teaches specific techniques for developing remarkable cognitive control that improves making quality decisions.
In considering high performance thinking, we begin by distinguishing between thinking and feeling. These two vital aspects of a personality are frequently confused in our language. Recognizing this confusion is vital, since mixing up the processes will mean the difference between making quality decisions based on real information and making poor decisions based on assumptions, interpretation, and emotional reactions to the situation. The bottom-line is that making quality decisions makes money, while poor decisions cost money.
In this workshop participants will:
Understand the following key dimensions of high performance thinking and how to apply them.
• Perception - Sharpen perceptions so you can see and
respond to both people and situations as they really are
- Gathering informed information and data
• What is the issue to be addressed?
• What is going on with you?
• How and why are you reacting as you are?
• What are others really saying or doing?
• Attention - The capacity to selectively sort out and
process information
- Testing information and data against criteria
and standards
• Challenge assumptions
• Strip away peripherals: The personal aspects you bring to
the issue and all unnecessary data
• Cognitive Control - Overcome habitual responses and pursue
strategies and goals
- Work toward sound decision-making
• Evaluate your findings and express your judgment
By acquiring the tools and discipline to recognize and apply the key dimensions of High Performance Thinking, performance will increase as will the capacity to lead others. Take the next step in the leadership development process by joining Farr for this enlightening and highly beneficial workshop that pays dividends to an executive’s career and the organization’s bottom-line.
